The FBI arrested Timothy Watson of West Virginia last month, accusing him of operating a website that illegally sells 3D printer gun parts under the guise of ordinary household items.
According to the FBI, Watson’s website “portablewallhanger.com” has always been the store of choice for the Boogaloo Bois movement, a far-right extremist organization whose members are responsible for killing several law enforcement officials.
According to the FBI affidavit signed on October 30, its members were also accused of inciting violence during the George Floyd protests this year.
Followers of Boogaloo believe that they are preparing for the Second American Civil War, which they call “Boogaloo.” Loosely organized movements are formed online and are made up of anti-government groups that support guns.
The FBI stated that Watson was arrested on November 3 and sold approximately 600 plastic devices in 46 states.
These devices look like wall hooks used to hang coats or towels, but when you remove a small piece, they act like a “plug-in automatic burner”, which can turn the AR-15 into an illegal whole Automatic machine gun, according to complaints viewed by Insider.
Some of Watson’s clients are well-known members of the Boogaloo movement, and they have been charged with murder and terrorism.
According to the affidavit, Steven Carrillo was an American pilot who was charged in a court in Oakland, California in May for the murder of a federal service official. He purchased from the site in January equipment.
The FBI also stated that a co-defendant in Minnesota—a self-proclaimed Boogaloo member who was arrested for trying to provide material to a terrorist organization—told investigators that he learned from an advertisement on the Facebook Boogaloo group Go to the portable wall hanger website.
The FBI was also informed that the website has donated 10% of all “portable wall mounts” proceeds in March 2020 to GoFundMe, in memory of Duncan Lemp, the Maryland man’s one in March. Killed by police in a surprise attack without knocking on the door. Police said Lemp was storing illegally owned weapons. Lemp has since been hailed as a martyr of the Boogaloo movement.
The FBI gained access to social media and email communications between Watson and its customers. Among them, when it comes to his wall hanging, he tries to speak with code, but not all of his clients can do this smartly.
According to court documents, an Instagram poster with the username “Duncan Socrates Lemp” wrote on the Internet that wall hooks “only apply to armlite Walls.” Amalite is an AR-15 manufacturer.
The user wrote: “I don’t mind seeing the red clothes lying on the floor, but I prefer to hang them correctly on #twitchygurglythings.”
The term “red” is used to describe the enemies of the Boogaloo movement in their fantasy revolution.
Watson was charged with conspiracy to harm the United States, illegal possession and transfer of machine guns, and illegal firearm manufacturing business.
